The Mill Barns had long been a venue I was excited about working at – and with good reason!
As one of the most stunning, and popular, wedding venues in the region, the setting of The Mill Barns was made for weddings!
So from the excitement of working at The West Mill to start my year, it was to The Mill Barns on a beautifully mild Spring morning for Lynda + Andy’s big day!
I know Andy’s side of the family from my Brother-in-Law Brett, and I’m so glad my sister Chrissie sent Andy + Lynda my way!
Weddings at The Mill Barns
Bringing the plans together for their wedding over just a few short months, I knew the day was going to be something special! Afterall, if you’re styling the day around Gin, you’ve got to be on a winner ????
Lynda + Andy’s day was blessed with mild spring weather, which after the snow we’d been enduring – and enjoying in the case of JP + Sean’s wedding – was a pleasant change!
On the final lead up to the big day, I’d had the chance to spend a little while with Lynda + Andy and their dog in the Clent Hills. It was an excellent opportunity to get to know them both, and more importantly, rid the ‘photo fear’ for them! It left us on the day feeling comfortable and relaxed – and ready for one great day!
During the wedding morning, there are so many beautiful moments to capture, with little displays of emotion that bring everything to life.
There were so many beautiful touches brought to the wedding; from the table plan hand-drawn by Lynda’s sister Nicky, to the choice of Flame Lily as the flower of the day (the national flower of Rhodesia where Lynda’s family are from!), the couple did think of everything!

From capturing the preparations for the Bridal party, it was soon time to photograph our groom preparing in his suit from Moss Bros.
I’ve still no explanation for this one:
The atmosphere all morning and into the afternoon was so relaxed with the bridal party, almost too relaxed!
Wedding Ceremony at The Mill Barns
With the time racing by, it was nearly time for the wedding ceremony, in a space that is stunning! Having an overcast day brought a gentle, warm light into the barn. As the guests began to arrive for the wedding, it was beautiful to see everyone excited and enjoying the setting!
Andy’s sister Natalie deciding to hide a packet of tissues in her dress brought a laugh for everyone! But with the tears flowing, it’s a good job she did!!
From the laughter, the emotions started to build as the time raced by nearing the ceremony.
From two extremely proud parents, it was over to the ceremony and to see how the emotions were for our Groom.
Creative Unobtrusive Wedding Photography at The Mill Barns
The registrars were fabulous throughout the ceremony, bring a wonderfully relaxed feel to the formalities, and allowing freedom to capture the story too. With so much raw emotion on display, it was a beautiful ceremony to capture.
From the beautiful recession of our bride and groom, it was a real attack of confetti – and cones – that awaited them onto the waterside decked terrace!

From the family photos with the beautiful woodland and waterside setting, it was time to capture a few minutes with our bride and groom around the stunning grounds.
Taking the time to get comfortable in front of the camera during the engagement session, really made the whole portraits a blast with Lynda + Andy!
From the textures of the new barn to the aged gardens, and to the waterfront, The Mill Barns is a venue made for wedding photography! Thank you, Ensarb team! ????
Weddings at The Mill Barns
With such a stunning space, you have so much choice of how you want to style your wedding breakfast at The Mill Barns. Electing to follow the rustic theme, Lynda + Andy’s decoration was simple and stunning. And no-doubt tasty with all that gin too! The flowers from Lily Jones Flowers were perfect!
Creative Documentary Wedding Photography – capturing the Speeches and Reactions!
From the entrance of our Bride and Groom, it was time for one of my favourite sections of the day – the wedding speeches!
From the different speech and advice from the Father o the Bride, it was over to our Groom. From laughter to tears, Andy’s speech brought every emotion forward!
Hot on the heels of our Groom, the speech everyone is always waiting for, the Best Man’s speech! Andy’s speech certainly didn’t disappoint!!
After Nicky brought the speeches to a close with a beautiful poem, it was time for the fabulous wedding breakfast!
Creative Signature Night Portraits on the Waters Edge at The Mill Barns
Ahead of the evening guests arriving, it was beautiful to utilise the stunning setting of The Mill Barns for a couple of signature night time portraits with our Bride and Groom!
As the evening got underway, it was time to let everyone relax and capture the guests enjoying the evening reception.

From the fun of the cake cutting, it was over to The Vivas to get the party underway! Such a fabulous band – I thoroughly recommend checking them out!!

Alas all too quickly, my coverage of Lynda + Andy’s wedding came to an end.
