There is always something a little special about a midweek wedding…I’ve never quite figured if it’s the more intimate nature of the day with smaller numbers, the fact the guests have to make such an effort from work to be there, or the very fact that the guests are stealing a day off and making a long weekend of things…but there is definitely something! I love them!
Jo + Dave are such an ace couple! From when I first spoke to them I just knew I was going to have a great time capturing their story, even if it was only for a few hours…
Choosing the fabulous Moat House the ceremony was in the stunning old house in the Colin Lewis Suite, with the room dressed to perfection by the lovely girls at Bespoke Creations!
With only a short coverage to capture the key parts of the day, my day started with capturing the arrival of our groom and best man, looking pretty darned flash in their suits from Dapper Dan before joining the bridal party upstairs…
How stunning did Jo look in her gown from Adele Louise Bridal…

I love capturing more of the overall story of the day, and spend a lot of time capturing the guests, and with a few minutes whilst the registrars were running through the details, I had chance to head back to the bar to capture the relaxed atmosphere…
I always love seeing the change in mood from Bride and Father taking their final journey arm-in-arm to the waiting groom… Whether it be full of laughter, or excited trepidation, it is always a lovely part of the story to document.
This sequence really made me smile!!
The character of the Colin Lewis Suite is truly stunning, and really is a great setting for the wedding ceremony.
From the ceremony it was time to relax in the gardens of The Moat House, with the guests greeting the Bride and Groom, and capturing the all so important group photographs…
The gardens of The Moat House have always been a gift to wedding photographers, and I always love exploring with my couples…
Making the most of the window of time we had in the weather, it was great to give Jo + Dave so much time to relax with their guests, firstly in the gardens, before sheltering inside from the June rain!
I loved the simple minimalist styling of the CLS for the wedding breakfast, Bespoke really did a great job!
I love the moment as the Bride and Groom enter to their waiting guests!
The speeches! I do LOVE capturing speeches :)
