My final wedding before our brief Christmas break – and indeed our exciting little trip to Edinburgh – saw me back to Sandon Hall for the second time in a weekend…and only hours after I’d left from Harriet + Joe‘s day!
Nicky + Matt first contacted me almost a year to the day about their wedding, and with their photographs being so incredibly important, and looking for a natural reportage style, I knew my approach would be quite perfect for them…and I knew we would have a fabulous day together.
So many little touches were planned into the day, from the gorgeous bridal gown by Bridal Couture by Josephine, the dapper suits from Kevin Paul‘s in Hednesford, and the stunning floral displays and bouquets from Sandon’s very own Breige setting the whole design of the wedding off perfectly.
Quite unusually for the particular weekend – with the previous two years being very wet indeed for Lisa + Brandon and Lizzi + Darren – the weather was glorious all weekend long, with Harriet + Joe being blessed with gorgeous golden hour light for their portraits with myself and Andy, and Nicky + Matt’s wedding being able to enjoy the gardens and explore fully exactly as we would in early Autumn…a very pleasant surprise for us all indeed.
Making the most of the day, and the gorgeous light, we certainly enjoyed the brief portrait session around the gardens before it was back to join the guests to enjoy the drinks reception in the Orangery and the wedding breakfast, complete with the very entertaining speeches in the saloon.
With the wedding day being completed with the great live entertainment from Mickey Fordola and the very popular casino from Royale Casino it was certainly a very memorable wedding to bring the 2014 season to a close…before starting up again less than a week later…
Being the recommended wedding photographer at Sandon Hall has led to so many wonderful weddings at the fabulous Stafford wedding venue this year, and I cannot wait to be back there for the 2015 season and beyond.
