Moat House Wedding Photographs
Katie + Kieron’s Wedding Photographs by Staffordshire Wedding Photographer Stuart James | Moat House Recommended Wedding Photographer
On a day that saw much of the country drew to a close for the Royal Wedding, I was having far more fun capturing the wedding of Katie and Kieron!!
Katie + Kieron’s date choice was quite a good one, being copied by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, I loved how Katie decided to kick back and enjoy the royal occasion as a warm up to her big day!
Choosing The Moat House for their wedding, everything set for a fabulous relaxed day. From the morning preparations with the girls to the arrival of the boys, right through the day, the vibe was wonderfully relaxed with everyone having the best time!
I’d had the chance to spend a little time with Katie + Kieron leading up to their wedding and knew I was going to have the best time photographing them and their gorgeous daughter Sophia.
With beautiful May weather on our side, it was all set for the most spectacular of weddings!
Creative Wedding Photography at The Moat House
The mood with the girls was wonderfully relaxed. Hair and makeup were under the careful hands of Ruth Hancox, and the girls looked fabulous! It was undoubtedly the first time I’d photographed a bride on her wedding morning watching another wedding taking place!
As Meghan arrived and we saw the expression on Harry’s face, it brought the emotions to the fore for Katie. Thankfully (especially for our Makeup Artist) the tears were held at bay!!

Arriving in style courtesy of Finishing Touch, Kieron and the boys looked very dapper in the suits from Peter Posh, complimenting the bridesmaids dresses from Mix Bridal perfectly.
Creative Photographs Capturing the Wedding Preparations of the Bridal Party
With the gorgeous, and somewhat sleepy, flower girl dressed, it was time for our bride to get into her stunning dress from Hayley’s Bridal – such a perfect gown!
May Wedding at The Moat House
The choice of blue and purple was brought together beautifully by the flowers from Lavender Florist. Matched with blue skies and beaming sunshine, could the day have been any more perfect?
Wedding Ceremony in the Colin Lewis Suite at The Moat House
Choosing the Colin Lewis Suite added such a fabulous touch to the wedding, saving the Acton Suite for the wedding breakfast.
The Colin Lewis Suite is such a stunning room, featuring the original charm and warmth of the old Moat House, it is a stunning setting for a wedding ceremony.
Creative Bridal Portraits around the Moat House grounds
From the confetti exit, it was time to leave the guests to enjoy the first of many drinks, while exploring the fabulous grounds at The Moat House with our bride and groom.
Candid Photographs at the guest enjoy the drinks reception
Following the family photographs with the lakeside backdrop, it was fabulous to have so much time to capture the guests relaxing and having the most incredible time in the sun!
Wedding Breakfast in The Acton Suite
The decoration in the Acton Suite brought together the styling of Bespoke Creations (a company I love working with!) and Lavender Florist to carry Katie’s styling off fabulously! The cake from Amerton Cakes (another company I’ve featured on the website recently!) brought everything together fabulously!
The speeches from Katie’s dad, the Kieron and his best man, did not disappoint – so many fabulous reactions to capture!
Creative Elegant Portraits
Making the most of the stunning weather it was fabulous to be able to leave the guests enjoying the evening reception in the gardens of the Moat House, while we headed off with the bride and groom. I adore how these portraits came together!
Evening Entertainment for the Moat House Wedding Reception
I always love when a couple adds entertainment to their wedding, whether it be a close-up magician (like Owen Strickland) or a casino – it just adds a little theatre for the guests to absorb and enjoy!
Creative Photography of the Evening Reception
Capturing the spirit and the fun of the evening reception is always an absolute blast, and it didn’t take long at all for the floor to fill from the first dance! These guys were down for a great party!
Concluding the wedding story in style!
Unfortunately all too quickly, my allotted coverage of Katie and Kieron’s wedding came to an end. With the buffet out, and the dancefloor clear (for the only time that night!!) it was only right to take my bride and groom outside one final time for a couple of signature portraits to conclude their wedding story:
Katie and Kieron, it was such a huge pleasure to share your wedding. You are usch a fabulous couple, and your little daughter Sophia is a credit to you! Congratulations once again – cannot wait to bring your album together!
