The first time I sat down with Lynn and Gez to talk about their wedding was the week after I first met them at Weston Hall – at Jo + David’s wedding in September – and as soon as we started talking I knew we were the perfect match for each other, and I also knew the wedding was going to be a lot of fun from start to end. And come the day of the wedding it certainly didn’t disappoint.
After spending an afternoon with Lynn and Gez at Doxey Marshes in Stafford a few weeks ago, I also knew they were going to be very easy going in-front of camera too!
My day started with Gez and James’ at Uncle Pete’s before heading on to Lynn and the girls – where the Sourz were soon shot back and the champagne opened!
Blessed with gorgeous weather throughout most of the day with only a shower on the evening, it added to the fantastic feeling of the day. With the further additions to Weston Hall with the extended patio area, the guests were able to spread out and enjoy the wonderful setting, with only the Llamas slightly disappointing, being far too hot to come and play with the guests.
There were so many great touches, from the choice of the fabulous venue to the choice of an early ceremony time extending the day and allowing everyone to relax and enjoy themselves for that bit longer all afternoon, to the live music from Billy Thompson and the beautiful outfits from Princess Brides in Stafford and Greenwoods.
With my day finishing with the fantastic partying on the evening – what a great first dance and start of dancing there was – it certainly added a highlight to the evening.
It was fantastic spending time with Jo + David and also seeing familiar faces from their wedding in September, and with all of the friends and family on the day being so accommodating, it really was a fabulous wedding to be part of.
