From photographing the wedding of Mel + Rob at Chelsea Registry Office, it was to another friends’ wedding the following day. A little closer to home this time though, with preparations starting just minutes from my house!
I’ve known Leanne for almost as long as I’ve been together with Beki, so as soon as she started planning her wedding to Ben, it was great to be part of things with them!
The wedding day started at a local hairdresser, before the ceremony at St James Church in Brownhills.
Leaving Leanne with the bridesmaids to finish their preparations, I headed down to see how Ben was shaping up for the day ahead!
It turns out – the man was very relaxed indeed!! And looking very sharp in his suit too!

Back down to the Bride’s parents house, Leanne was safely in the hands of the makeup artist whilst there was mild chaos all around. When the little bridesmaid decided to do her own makeup I couldn’t help but smile!!
This particular image makes me smile! You’d never guess the brother of the bride lives in Australia, would you?!
Leaving a rather nervous Father of the Bride, it was time to see how the dress preparations were coming together upstairs!
From the beautiful moment for Steve, the Father of the Bride, it was off to the church for the ceremony at St James.
Love this expression between Leanne and her dad Steve – can’t remember what was said, but how great to be smiling and laughing together rather than letting the nerves take hold!!

Cannock Chase Wedding Photographs
From the ceremony, it was into the family group photographs in the scorching August sun, before we headed to one of my favourite spots on Shoal Hill for a few minutes with the couple.
I’ve always loved using this area of Cannock Chase and it’s easy to see why. Especially with the dappled light through the trees, it really adds to the atmosphere for the shoot.
From our few minutes on Cannock Chase, it was straight into the waiting Beauford and the short drive to Oak Farm Hotel.

From the family photographs on the lawns, including this one with the cutie that is Leanne + Ben’s daughter, it was time to head inside for the wedding breakfast. The styling of the room was absolutely perfect and tied the colours of the day together in style.

From the guests enjoying the wedding breakfast, it was down to the speeches.
I always love photographing speeches, and they have long been a highlight of the wedding day for me. With stories and displays of emotion, there is so much to capture from guest reactions to the character of the speaker.
Steve, the father of the bride, became all too emotional during his speech, with Lynne taking over from the prepared notes.
From the Father of the Bride, it was over to the Best Man, who skirted with the character defamation of the groom!
It was then down to the man of the day, our Groom Ben.

With so many children at the wedding, and with weather well and truly on our side, it was fabulous to see the bouncy castle go down so well!

As the sun set, it was time to get the evening celebrations underway, with a special dance for Leanne and Steve, ahead of the First Dance.

Alas, as the party started, my coverage came to a conclusion, with only time for a few signature portraits to conclude the wedding story.
