Lottie + Dean’s Wedding Story by Solihull Documentary Wedding Photographer
I first had the pleasure of meeting Lottie and Dean when Dean was Best Man for Nic + Mitch‘s Moat House Wedding last year, and after talking to them after we met that day, I knew their wedding was going to be brilliant to be part of!
Choosing a venue that was a new one to me, Nuthurst Grange in Solihull, I was certainly looking forward to capturing their story!
Although only a relatively short coverage of their day, from capturing the preparations in the morning through to the early evening, the day was just perfect!
Blessed with stunning weather, Lottie + Dean could not have been set for a perfect day…it’s just a shame the ‘hayfever sufferers’ eyes were streaming so much…especially during the ceremony and the speeches ;-)
Whilst Lottie and the girls were having their makeup brought to perfection by Michelle from The Perfect Makeup I was perusing the grounds and setting the scene, in perfect time to catch up with the groom and best man…who were both helping to dress the usher! Brilliant!
The Stable Barn Suite really is a stunning setting for a wedding ceremony!
The boys really looked fabulous in their suits from Dapper Dan‘s in Wednesfield.
Leaving the boys to finish getting ready and enjoying a much-needed pint, I headed to the girls in the Bridal suite…
Lottie’s dress from Lula Ann in Erdington was truly perfect for her and complimented fabulously by the bridesmaid dresses from June Peony…
I think it’s safe to say the girls were in good spirits!!
Leaving Lottie in the very capable hands of Jen from The Little Hair House, I headed back to the Stables Barn to capture the arrival of the guests, and to see how our groom’s nerves were holding up!
Steady as a rock…seems the nerves were very much in-check!
The flowers from From Me to You in Wylde Green were stunning!
To say Lottie was happy with Jen’s work was a huge understatement! I do love it when the hair/makeup stylists are personal friends of the couple too!
With mom Sam leaving Lottie with the girls, it was soon time for the grand, and rather emotion reveal, to dad waiting at the bottom of the stairs ahead of the ceremony…
Heading into the barn as Lottie went through proceedings with the registrars (who were fabulously accommodating it has to be said!!) it was time to capture the building emotions…
Honestly, I have no idea… :)
Seems the pollen count was already building and starting to affect Jordan….
The emotions definitely got to Lottie on her procession down the aisle, reminding me of Sarah’s entrance to the Gav at Moat House last summer… I do love capturing raw emotion!
From the wonderful recessional, it was time to let everyone relax and greet the new Mr & Mrs ahead of the family groups on the lawns.
Hidings one’s face in a bouquet seemed to be catching…
Hayfever…damn……
From fun with the confetti, it was time to make the most of the truly stunning grounds of Nuthurst Grange with our couple…
How gorgeous are these guys?! Loved our photo shoot around the grounds…
Ahead of the wedding breakfast, it was time for the obligatory big group photograph, then straight into the speeches…which I knew would be full of emotion!
From Dean’s speech, it was time for our best man Mitch…who did Dean proud! Fabulous job mate!!
From that emotional rollercoaster, it was to the Father of the Bride before the guests enjoyed the fabulous wedding breakfast!
With my coverage coming to an end at the start of the evening, there was just time to head out to the gardens and make the most of the evening light with Lottie + Dean to complete their story…
Lottie and Dean, I had the most fabulous time with you all capturing your day – thank you for entrusting your memories to me!
I hope you’re having the best time in California…and that you managed to get to Alliotos at Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco too :)
I truly loved working at Nuthurst Grange and cannot wait to be back at the fabulous venue!
