I’ve known Jodie for nearly seventeen years and although our paths went in very different directions after we left school, staying in touch through the wonderful means of Facebook brought us to talk about her wedding to Mike at a very unusual and special setting – Twycross Zoo. Talking about ideas for the big day and after visiting Twycross Zoo to talk through the details of the day I couldn’t wait for the wedding to arrive. Unfortunately on the morning of the wedding the weather was definitely not kind to us, with heavy rain due to be set in for the majority of the day, however, with the briefest of gaps in the weather for Jodie to arrive and to head to Uda Walawe for both couple portraits and for the family group photographs next to the elephant enclosure, we were far luckier than could have been the case… It has to be said though that the weather definitely didn’t dampen the spirits of anyone and the wedding was fabulous fun from start to finish, and I had a great time documenting the wedding day. From morning preparations through to the evening reception when the Snow Leopards came out to join the reception, the day was full of treats for everyone. I’m pretty sure Jodie and Mike are having a fabulous time on their honeymoon in Japan right now before heading back to Dubai where they both currently live. I hope you enjoy sharing this little look into Jodie + Mike’s Twycross Zoo Wedding as much as I enjoyed photographing it.
Thank you for inviting me to document your wedding Jodie + Mike, it was an absolute pleasure!
