Staffordshire Tipi Wedding
Charl + Caddy’s Beautiful Wedding at All Saints Church + Sandon Hall, with a gorgeous Tipi Reception
There are weddings each year that you look forward to…and Charl + Caddy’s day in June was one of them!!
I’ve known Charl + Caddy for a few years after I photographed Charl’s sister’s wedding at the gorgeous Weston Park a couple of years ago, and with the nicest families and the best group of friends, I just knew Charl + Caddy’s day was going to be something special…
When bringing together the plans for the day, a trip to see the Elite Tents Tipi setup led to quite the perfect wedding setting – Sandon Hall!
With the wedding ceremony at the gorgeous Parish church of All Saints Sandon before the afternoon reception in the beautiful saloon at Sandon Hall, could there have been anything more perfect?
With the sun shining, and truly heating the day up, my coverage started capturing the preparations of Charl with her bridal party in the fabulous bedroom at Sandon Hall, overlooking the beautiful grounds, and the fabulous tipi setup!
During the preparations the lovely Lynne arrived with the most perfect flowers for Charl’s day!
If you’re looking for a florist, you MUST check out Fine Flowers – she is truly amazing!
The atmosphere all morning was so incredibly relaxed and laid back. The girls were so much fun to be around and to photograph!
The ladies on makeup and hair, Callie-Jo! and Kita from Couture, were so great at what they were doing, and also for keeping everything perfectly relaxed, and a lot of fun too!
Capturing the opening of gifts on the morning can often bring fabulous expressions to capture…though Charl’s face on seeing a gift receipt still in the bag…interesting!
Charl + Hayleys mom Diane is such a fabulous lady, and being ‘one of the girls’ was great to capture her enjoying the wedding morning with everyone!
From the finishing touches on hair and makeup, it was time for that stunning gown from Charlotte Thompson Bridal from the gorgeous designs of Susan Neville…and of course, a pair of Jimmy Choo’s to complete the look!
Perfectly on time, came the arrival of the Father of the Bride, Carl!
I remember speaking to Charl a few times at Bridal Fayres on the months leading up to the wedding day, and her search to find the perfect wedding cars for their day…and the search certainly paid off, as the cars from Barrie James (no relation!) were just sublime!
From the preparations at Sandon Hall, it was a very short journey to the stunning All Saints Church in the grounds of Sandon Hall, to the waiting Caddy and his best man Skitty – those boys certainly looked very dapper indeed in their suits from Blooms Wolverhampton!
How perfect do those cars and dresses go together?!
Fabulous work Charl!! :)
I love the expressions on Charl and Carl as they arrived…
All Saints Church really is a stunning country church, and with having an understanding vicar that allowed both myself and Andy from Zeus Films to capture a fabulous natural record of the ceremony…
In an ‘oops’ moment, Hayley accidentally stepped on Charl’s veil as she entered the church, nearly ripping her head off…and proceeded to laugh through it! Awesome!!
I adore the different angles you can photograph from during the ceremony at All Saints Church…
And what an exit! Lovely it Caddy!!
Just love this shot!
From greeting the guests, it was time for the confetti run to the waiting cars…
With the weather well and truly on our side as the guests arrived at Sandon, I just knew the afternoon was going to be something special!
Leaving the guests to bask in the sun and enjoy the drinks reception, I stole a few minutes with Charl + Caddy, heading to some of my favourite spots around the grounds which looked spectacular all in bloom…
Loved this touch…
When you have the venue styling of Pumpkin Events tied in with the flowers of Fine Flowers, you’re set for a pretty incredible wedding breakfast setup… I don’t think I’ve ever seen the saloon looking better during the day… Sure, Harriet and Joe may have stolen the look for the night, but Charl + Caddy had the amazing tipi reception for that ;-)
How amazing did that look! So many wonderful little touches…and I loved the names of the tables too…who doesn’t love gin!
Sorry Hannah, couldn’t resist a photographerbomb!
The signature ‘Caddy Entrance’!
As anyone who reads this blog knows, I always love photographing speeches, and the deliveries from Carl, Caddy and Skitty didn’t disappoint!
Got to love it when the Mother of the Bride gets into it!
From the oratory skills of Carl, it was over to the man of the day, Mr Matthew Cadman!
Before it was the time of the best man Skitty…who skated ever so close to the mark, but steered the speech perfectly! Great job sir!
Bringing proceedings to a conclusion came Michael, Caddy’s Father in Law.
It was fabulous seeing familiar faces and catching up with the lovely Hayley + Moz, and of course meeting their new arrival Freddy too!
After the wedding breakfast, it was time for a highlight of the afternoon, the quite incredible wedding cake from Miss Lola’s Bakehouse – Diane, the cake looked unbelievable!!
From the elegance of Sandon Hall, it was to the sublimely decorated Tipi in the grounds of the hall for the reception…
I don’t think there was anything that wasn’t thought of, and the Cocktail Bar/Van from Beetle Juice was inspired…and a great hit!
Before the night got truly started, I grabbed our Bride and Groom for a few minutes to grab a set of relaxed evening portraits in the front grounds of Sandon Hall before the Tipi reception got underway!
As the night was getting underway, it was time to open the party with the first dance…and from there, the night never stopped! Just fabulous!
From the first dance, the night did not stop…a full on party through to the end of the night!
Here’s just the start of things…
As if the night needed any encouragement, add in the fabulous band The Copicats truly threw things into another gear!
I don’t think I’ve been to a better reception! Just immense!!
The Beetle Juice Cocktail bar still going strong into the night!
I loved witnessing and capturing this little sequence with Carl getting the emotions flowing!
Truly, what a night!
And to close…
Charl + Caddy, all I can say is thank you! I had the best time with you all! I knew your day was going to be something special, and it delivered above and beyond!
So many perfect touches throughout, I really had the most amazing time documenting your wedding story.
To have a videographer I know and trust – and love working with! – alongside me in the form of Andy and Stefan from Zeus Films really added to the day for me, and I just adore the film they put together!
