What a fabulous month May was, and right in the middle of the great – though rather crazy – run of weddings, was Jade + Rob’s fantastic day at St Augustines Church in Rugeley and The Chase Golf Club, Cannock.
I’d first met Jade and Rob around 18 months ago when we first met to talk through their plans for their big day, and after spending a little time with them – and their crazy little spaniel – around Cannock Chase I knew we were going to be in for a very fun day!
When we first started their engagement session walking around the Chase, I knew Rob was far from comfortable…however, after a few minutes together, and blessed with beautiful light and surroundings, he soon got into things, and come the wedding day I just knew everything was going to flow perfectly!
My day started at Jade’s parents house, which fortunately is no more than five minutes walk from their own house – where I was to visit Rob and the boys later on, capturing the wedding morning with Jade and the girls under the care of Lorraine Poulton and Laura Ridley.
With her group of three best friends, her sister and her mom, dad and brother in the house, it was certainly not a quiet place, but rather full of laughter and fun…just the way a wedding morning should be.
Everyone was supremely relaxed, and just looking forward to the day starting, after all of the preparations, whether that be the choosing of the fantastic Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for the wedding cake, or for Jade’s dad Tony hiding away in his studio putting pen to paper writing his speech, the attention to detail was fantastic…and showed throughout… However, time keeping was not as smooth on Jade’s behalf…
Thankfully Rob’s groomsmen, all decked out in their suits from Peter Posh, were keeping the groom relaxed, and with the choice of both his brother and best mate as best men, even the nervous wait at the altar for Jade’s ‘fashionably-late’ arrival was filled with laughter.
The wedding ceremony with the relaxed attitude of the priest was a pleasure to witness, and blessed with beautiful weather outside of the church for the family portraits and the relaxed couple photographs in the Old Chancel Ruins, the afternoon could not have started more perfectly.
Jade’s inspired idea whilst travelling along to The Chase for the reception, stopping at a stunning clearing added a fabulous time for me with just the couple, and created the perfect time for the relaxed portraits we were looking for.
Come the reception at The Chase, with the caricaturist entertaining the guests before entering the stunning Atrium Suite bedecked with stunning hanging lights really set the tone for a fabulous afternoon and evening, only topped with the addition of the casino to keep the evening guests entertained!
Jade + Rob are genuinely two of the most amazing people I have met, both so caring and considerate, and a true pleasure to be with.
When surrounded by such warm and caring friends and family on such a wonderful day, it really makes my job a joy…and capturing their story a privilege.
I hope you enjoy sharing Jade + Rob’s St Augustines Rugeley and The Chase Golf Club Wedding Photographs.
