Creative Documentary Wedding Photography from the Ceremony at St Augustines Edgbaston to the Reception at Aston Wood Golf Club
When I first spoke with Rebecca + Luciano, I started to get excited! Not only was their wedding to take me back to a beautiful wedding venue (Aston Wood Golf Club) but it was also going to be the novel joint of two cultures!
With Rebecca’s English family and Luciano’s Mexican family coming together, on one exceptional day!
I have had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Aston Wood previously, but it was beautiful to be back!
With a stunning characterful space and beautiful grounds, it is an astonishing setting.

My coverage for Rebecca + Luciano’s wedding started with the final preparations ahead of boarding the transport for the day – a Route Master Bus!
With a bride that was a little nervous, my relaxed and natural approach fit perfectly, and I was able to capture a few beautiful moments ahead of the ceremony at St Augustine’s.
Edgbaston Wedding Photographer
I have driven past St Augustines Church in Edgbaston many times over the years, but this was to be my first wedding at the church.
A truly stunning space, perfect for the wedding.
Following Yukimi’s beautiful solo, there was an exceptional moment, with Rebecca’s grandparents renewing their vows.

From the confetti bombardment and family photographs on the lawns, it was all aboard the bus for the journey to Aston Wood.
Having planned the day with Rebecca + Luciano, I had ensured I was able to travel on the bus all afternoon with them, which with singing and guitar playing from the groom and his friend, was a real delight to capture!

From our fabulous journey, as the guests started to enjoy the setting for the wedding reception, it was wonderful to capture a little time with Rebecca + Luciano around the beautiful setting of Aston Wood.
Wedding Reception at Aston Wood
The function room at Aston Wood looks stunning with a swagged ceiling, and with the fun decoration bringing the British/Mexican theme together, everything was set for a beautiful afternoon and evening!
A fabulous finishing touch for the Mexican theme – a Mariachi Band!
While we were capturing a couple of final portraits on the course, the timing could not have been better as the band came out onto the course, serenading our Bride and Groom.

From the cutting of the cake, made by the Mother of the Bride Beverley, it was time for the speeches! Always an absolute favourite, and with the Father of the Bride being followed by Luciano then his parents, there were so many beautiful moments.
Following the emotional speeches from Luciano’s parents, it was over to the entertainer of the day, the Best Man Charlie, before Rebecca took the floor with a beautiful reading of her vows in Luciano’s mother tongue.

With the party underway to the fabulous performers The Born Again Beatles, it was time to conclude my coverage in signature style, with creative night portraits of our Bride and Groom.
Rebecca + Luciano, I had such a fantastic time capturing your wedding. Such a beautiful day to be part of – thank you for entrusting your memories to me.
