A Beautifully Relaxed September Wedding at Sandon Hall, Staffordshire
Hannah + Henry brought together the plans for their September Wedding at Sandon Hall in just over three months! Taking advantage of a late availability at Sandon Hall, bringing together the best suppliers, the day could not have gone better!
Late summer is always an excellent time for weddings, and with pleasant weather on our side, the whole day had a relaxed feel. From the morning preparations with the September sun shining through the window to the guests enjoying the games on the lawn, the day could not have been better!
My coverage began with the morning preparations of Hannah with her Bridesmaids in the bedroom at Sandon Hall, with hair and makeup under control of the mother-daughter team of Joanne and Sophie.

Hannah + Henry live in London but came back to Stafford for the wedding, just down the road from where Henry’s parents still live in Hopton. From capturing the early preparations of Hannah and the girls, it was beautiful to be able to add to the coverage catching a few minutes with the boys ahead of the wedding ceremony at All Saints Church.

With the boys all suited and booted in their Moss Bros tails, it was back down to Sandon Hall for the final preparations of our Bride.
Hannah chose her beautiful gown from Brides of Chester, and I couldn’t wait to capture her dad’s reaction when he saw her!
Wedding at All Saints Church, Sandon
All Saints Church in the grounds of Sandon Hall has always been a favourite of mine. A beautiful, countryside church, full of character.
The pure flowers added by April Flowers tied the church colours to the wedding theme perfectly.
From arriving in style, it was time for the wedding. Allowed to only capture a few secret moments from the back of the church, our coverage was limited, but still pleasing to look back on.
There’s one small problem with a country church – when the sheep decide to visit the churchyard!
Weddings at Sandon Hall
From the short drive in the fabulous Ford through the lanes to Sandon Hall. With drinks on arrival, the guests soon started to relax and enjoy the incredible setting!

The gardens at Sandon Hall are stunning, and I have always loved making the most of the setting for the wedding portraits.
Summer Wedding Garden Games on the Lawns
Summer is the most fantastic time of year for weddings, with your guests able to enjoy the outdoor space, and have a great time with the garden games too!
Wedding Breakfast in the Saloon at Sandon Hall
Following the redecoration a couple of years ago, the saloon is the most fabulous room for the wedding breakfast at Sandon Hall.
Hannah and Henry kept their decoration simple, with flowers from April Flowers and personal cups and mugs as favours – a lovely personal touch.
Creative Documentary Photography of the Wedding Speeches
Capturing the wedding speeches and the reactions of the guests has also been a highlight of the wedding coverage for me. The stories you can witness unfold on the guest’s faces, with timeless reactions, really do make for amazing viewing.
From the wedding speeches, it was time for the evening to flow. Enjoying the fabulous spaces in the hall, the guests were able to relax and enjoy the evening ahead of the party getting started!

From the cutting of the cake, it was over to The Tune Junkies to get the party started – and boy did they achieve that! Such a great band, the night truly rocked!
A Sparkler Exit for our Bride and Groom!
Could there be a better way to conclude the wedding day? Leaving in style down a sparkler tunnel!
Concluding the day in style with a few signature portraits, I love how Hannah + Henry’s wedding story came together.
It indeed was such a pleasure to capture your wedding Hannah and Henry, and I have to compliment you on the beautiful job you did to bring it all together in just three months!
