Something I will never tire of with weddings is the sheer excitement for everyone involved. Each wedding day is truly incredible to be part of!
When I first met Steph and Ben and Steph’s parents the excitement from all of them was nothing short of infectious! It was over 15 months to the big day when we first started talking, and already the ideas were fabulous. As the weeks and months progressed, it was terrific to catch up with Steph and Ben early in the summer for a pre-wedding portrait session at Baggeridge Woods and to hear about the final plans.
A day set to be full of colour and life – with an added flash mob as a surprise for good measure – Steph + Ben’s August wedding at the Moat House indeed had it all!

With an early afternoon ceremony, my coverage of the day began with the late morning bridal party’s preparations. With Emily Grosvenor looking after the make-up and Lisa + Katie on hair duty, the bridal party looked stunning! I knew as soon as Steph was in her dress from Rebecca at Mix-n-Match and the girls in their dresses – all fabulously in different colours – they were going to look amazing!
Steph and Ben chose a beautiful signature guest book from their engagement shoot at Baggeridge Woods – stunning to have something individual and personal for the guests to sign.
With Steph looking stunning, and Penny – our flower girl and Steph + Ben’s goddaughter – being so cute as she opened her lovely gift, it was time to capture the arrival of our guests for the wedding at The Moat House.

With the guests arriving, it was time to head back up to our bride, who looked amazing in her gown from Rebecca Jayne’s at Mix-n-Match. Rob’s reaction as he came into the room was fabulous to capture!
You’ve got to love a bit of friendly family abuse, and forgetting black socks and having to wear white sports socks was fair-game!
With the emotions building, it was time for the entrance of the bridal party!
The live music from Andrew + Nicky Finesse Piano and Cello set a beautiful and exciting mood.

From the candids during the drinks reception, and the family photographs on the lakeside, it was time to make the most of the beautiful grounds with our bride and groom.
Having spent time with Steph and Ben on the lead up to the day, they were so incredibly relaxed for the portraits.
Wedding Breakfast at The Moat House
The decor of the Acton Suite brought together by Design Elegance looked terrific.
With the multiple pastel colours of Steph + Ben’s theme, with the starlit backdrop, the room looked incredible for the guests to enjoy!
From the beautiful entrance to the assembled guests, it was straight into the speeches with the Father of the Bride taking the floor!
With 40 years of marital advice to pass on, along with 50 years from Ben’s parents and indeed 65 from Steph’s grandparents, it’s safe to say the couple should be well set for the future!
Following Ben to the floor, Simon’s best man’s speech was fantastic!
Sharing another 20 years of marital experience, while keeping everyone thoroughly entertained, his speech had it all! Top job sir!
After greeting the arrival of the evening guests, I had to steal a couple of moments with our bride and groom to make the most of the stunning evening light!
Creative Evening Photography at The Moat House
From cutting the stunning wedding cake, it was time for a surprise for Steph + Ben, with a flash-mob dance performance!! Incredible work by the bridesmaids and everyone involved!
From a fabulous and unique start it was time for the first dance to get the night started!
Alas, my coverage concluded far too quickly, but not before a couple of signature evening portraits!
Steph and Ben, what a fantastic day to be part of! I loved every second with you all, and I cannot wait to bring the finished story together with you both.
