The Story of Lyndsey + Howard with their Summer Wedding at Weston Hall
Wow, what a wedding! From laughter and excitement, to emotions flowing during the ceremony and speeches, to a fabulous reception that even the constantly reappearing showers couldn’t dampen, it truly was a fabulous day!
Lyndsey + Howard live in Essex where they met at university, and with a wide group of quite fabulous friends from Lyndsey’s family home back in Staffordshire, their uni mates and mates from home in Essex, the day was blessed with beautiful, and very entertaining people!
Both Lyndsey + Howard’s families were some of the nicest people to be around, and I certainly had a blast sharing the day with everyone!
My coverage for Lyndsey + Howard was actually a little different to my ‘standard’ coverage, with the couple being my first full PhotoFilm coverage, producing video and photo coverage of their day…certainly a lot more work, but fabulous fun too! I’ll share the video at the end of the post!
Capturing their story from the morning preparations of the bridal party in the bedrooms at Weston Hall throughout the groomsmens arrivals in the fabulous Jaguar from Finishing Touch, through the very emotional ceremony in The Shrewsbury Suite before the reception in the stunning gardens, basking in the sunshine…
Seems vodka shots aren’t everyone’s favourite… :)

After the grand reveal, I headed downstairs to to the waiting groom…who was getting just a little emotional…
With great summer weather on our side, from the ceremony it was to the fabulous patio at Weston Hall for the drinks reception and family group photographs, before a little time with the couple…
The grounds at Weston are stunning for photographing the couple on the day…and with a couple as stunning, and adorable!!, as Lyndsey + Howard, I had a great time capturing a few relaxed portraits…
I never like to take my couples away from guests for too long, and with the close proximity of everything at Weston Hall, Lyndsey + Howard were soon back relaxing with their friends and family.
The attention and styling of The Westminster Suite made a truly perfect setting for the wedding breakfast…and one of the cutest entrances as the couple made their way in to their waiting guests…
Ahead of the rather emotional speeches, the guests had a great time just relaxing and enjoying the wedding breakfast…and who wouldn’t?! The food at Weston is always fabulous!!
As anyone who reads my blog knows, I always love photographing speeches, both from the displays of emotion that are there to be captured, to sharing in the stories that are told, that all add to my connection to the day…
After Lyndsey’s dad just about held his emotions in check, it was time to see if Howard could do the same…
And finally…to the speech that everyone was waiting for, and it’s safe to say Howard’s best man did an amazing job for the couple!
The weather was still holding out fabulously (although a couple of showers did try to spoil things!), so from the reception it was back outside to enjoy the setting, and also a few drinks too…
From the ‘cutting’ of the FROZEN cheesecake, it was time for the final part of the story I was to capture with the first dance as Mr & Mrs!
With the coverage finishing early in the evening, I just had to steal a couple of minutes with the couple outside to complete their wedding story.
Lyndsey and Howard, what can I say apart from ‘thank you’!
You and your friends and family were so welcoming to me on the day, and when we’ve met afterwards to bring your story together, I have loved every moment with you and your folks!
A wedding day that was a true treat to be part of and to document, and one for the memory banks for sure.
