I was first introduced to Jacqui and Lin at The Belfry wedding fayre by Lynne from Fine Flowers. After talking with Jacqui and Lin the following week at our studio, I just knew my style was perfect for them. A couple that had been together for 26 years, the day was a real celebration with their friends and family. And what a celebration it was!
I got together with Jacqui and Lin a few weeks before the wedding in Lichfield. From our relaxed portrait session, it was great to sit down with the couple and talk through the plans – over a pint of course! – and get excited for the big day.
Choosing Packington Moor Barn for their wedding in Lichfield indeed was a masterstroke, with the beautiful August weather making the day.
The guests were able to enjoy the gardens and the courtyard throughout the day and into the evening, one could not ask for more!
Along with myself and the fabulous Lynne from Fine Flowers, Jacqui and Lin nailed it with their suppliers. Bringing together venue styling from Design Elegance, fabulous dress from The Bridal Rooms, and suits from Peter Posh, everything looked perfect!
My coverage for Jacqui and Lin started with preparations at Packington of Jacqui and the bridal party.
I couldn’t believe the number of signs Lin had put up as a surprise for Jacqui – one sentimental lady, that’s for sure!
Leaving Jacqui and the bridesmaids in the fabulous care of Gemma from Dream Bridal Hair and Kirsty (Beauty by Kirsty), it was amazing to see how the decoration from Design Elegance and the flowers from Fine Flowers had transformed the Oat Barn.
I loved how I could capture the preparations of both parties as we headed into the early afternoon at Packington. With Jacqui and the girls in one cottage, and Lin and the boys in the other, it added to the story.
Usually, the reaction of tears comes with the arrival and reveal of our bride in her gown, but our little bridesmaid burst into tears as soon as she saw her grandad – so cute to capture!
From the tears and emotion with Jacqui, it was time to capture the guests arriving for the wedding ceremony.
The music played by Meredith (Absolute Harp) set such an amazing tone for the wedding ceremony.
Capturing the developing emotion on Lin’s face was beautiful.
From the ceremony, Mrs and Mrs Hill headed from the Oat Barn to the cheers of their friends and family, releasing doves before relaxing into the gardens with their friends and family.
With the incredible summer weather, the gardens and our couple looked stunning!

From the wedding breakfast, it was time for one of my favourite sections of the day – the wedding speeches!
From the emotions and laughter of the speeches, it was time to make the most of the beautiful evening. With the guests relaxing in the courtyard, and the stunning golden light for our evening portraits, everything fell into place.
Time to get the evening party started!!
From the cutting of the stunning cake from Cakes of Grace, it was time for an emotional point with Jacqui having the first dance with her father, Terry.
It’s safe to say the party got underway in some style!!
With the sparklers exit came the conclusion of my coverage – what a wedding it was!!
