Last weekend saw a break from work and instead I packed up the car and headed down to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
I’ve been a huge Formula1 fan for the last 11 years and have been to the BritishGP several times and also to Italy for the SanMarino GP and as it had been a couple of years since my last trip we decided to make a weekend of it and set up camp in the village of Silverstone on the Thursday night.
The weather at the start of the weekend was absolutely glorious and we had a great time relaxing in the sun and watching the first practice session of the weekend. As the weekend continued however the British summer decided to rear its ugly head and we were totally soaked through on the Sunday especially. But to see Lewis win his first home grand prix, and to see Rubens on the podium too made it even better. Such a great weekend.
