Newlands Bishop Farm Wedding Photographer
A Summer Wedding Story Captured by Solihull Wedding Photographer Stuart James
I first met Fran + Matt at their wedding of Fran’s brother Tom to Ida last year and I was delighted when they contacted me to be the photographer for their day!
From the first time I spent time in their church for Ida + Tom’s wedding I will never forget the warmth I felt. Adding to that a proper summer setting for the reception, with a marquee on a farm, I was so excited for Fran + Matt’s big day!
On a gorgeous summers day, the wedding of Fran and Matt came…
My coverage of their day started with Matt and the boys, before heading to Fran and the bridal party.
Matt is such a great guy and so much fun to be around, I just kew things were going to be a laugh from the get-go!
I distinctly remember on Tom & Ida’s wedding, as I was being helpful with the buttonholes on the ushers…suddenly, Matt’s camera phone appeared in my face…same again today :-D
Matt’s daughter really was the cutest all day long…
From my morning capturing the boys preparations, it was soon time to head to the girls and capture the final preparations…
One of the moments of the wedding day I adore documenting is the grand reveal to the Father of the Bride…and it’s safe to say, Fran’s dad nailed it!
From the short journey it was to the wonderful church of Lake Street Methodist in Gornal.
As mentioned at the start of the post, there really is a wonderful warmth at Lake Street that I’ve never felt at another church. Whether it be the vicar, the warm welcoming nature of the Church, or a combination of all, I truly felt so special there…
From the wonderful recessional, it was time to greet the newly weds before bombarding them with confetti!
From Lake Street Methodist it was to a totally new venue for me, the fabulous Newlands Bishop Farm in Solihull.
Leaving the guests to enjoy the sun drenched gardens, it was great to spend a few minutes with Fran + Matt exploring the gardens of Newlands Bishop Farm…
The marquee, dressed by the couple and their family the day before the wedding, looked absolutely fabulous!
Spotting the gorgeous light developing just ahead of the speeches, I took the opportunity to spend a few minutes with Fran + Matt…
Time for the speeches…oh how I love capturing them! Especially with expressions as good as these!!
From the fabulous speech from the Father of the Bride, it was time for the man of the day, Matt!
Having not one, but two best men, the speeches were always going to be pretty special, and boys, you did not disappoint…
Following the speeches, it was great to see everyone just spread out and relax on the hay-bales and enjoy the garden games ahead of getting the party started with our live band!
You just have to love the difference a live band makes to a reception! And these guys were fab!!
As my coverage finished shortly into the evening reception, I stole the bride and groom away from the dancefloor to finish their story in our typical style…
Fran and Matt, thank you for entrusting the memories of your day to me, being part of your story and documenting such a wonderful occasion was truly a pleasure and an honour.
You, you family and friends are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to meet, and I only hope our paths cross again in the future…
