Last month it was fantastic to be back at Patshull Hall, and also St Michael and All Angels in Tettenhall – a church I hadn’t been to for around 6 years.
Kirstie and Andrew’s day was a very relaxed and personal affair, and it was nice that I actually met a few key members of the family the day before the wedding as then on the day everyone knew each other, creating an easy atmosphere throughout. Talking to Kirstie on the morning of the wedding when she was preparing her dress the significance of such an important detail really struck home.
Kirstie’s mom unfortunately passed away a few years ago after losing a fight with cancer, but whilst she was still able she actually went dress shopping with Kirstie and helped her choose the perfect gown, and so although the fashions had changed slightly inbetween choosing and wearing the dress, for Kirstie it was like having her mom there with her…a beautiful touch…
Thankfully the weather was definitely with us on their day and we were able to enjoy a fine spring afternoon in the gardens of Patshull Hall. Though being used to the open waves presenting P1 Powerboat Racing Kirstie should definitely not have worried whatever the weather did…
It was also great to link up with my brother Stephen who documented the wedding from the speeches through to first dance – and did a great job of it too!
