I first sat down with Ana + Carl back in December last year. As we started talking, I soon realised the massive importance photographs held to Ana – definitely a good thing!
As a keen photographer herself, Ana understands so much about photography and knew what she was looking for. Talking through the plans for the day, and my approach, it was soon clear my style was going to be perfect.
Choosing truly stunning settings with Ingestre Church, which I’ve had the pleasure of working at in the past, and the ever popular Weston Hall, all was set for a truly stunning day!
On the lead up to the day, I got to spend a little time with Ana + Carl at their gorgeous house in Brocton, meeting their fabulous dogs, and heading up into the nearby countryside…what a stunning place to live!
Getting them both relaxed in front of the camera before the day paid dividends during the portraits at Weston Hall. With the imminent weather encroaching the time we had was limited, but we certainly made the most of the day!
My coverage for Ana and Carl started capturing the morning preparations at home…

Deciding to grab a couple of photos with the dogs before putting the dress on, was definitely a good idea!
And what a dress it was…
As the emotions started to build at the house, I left Ana with her bridal party to head to Saint Mary the Virgin Ingestre Church to see how our groom was faring…
I think it’s safe to say the hip-flask went down well ;-)

Such a warm and rousing performance from the Ingestre Church Choir, really adding a touch of class during the signing of the register and establishing the mood for the recession of our newly minted Mr & Mrs!
From the emotional embraces during the receiving line from church, and the family photographs on the church doorway, it was off to Weston Hall for the reception…
Thankfully the threat of rain had subsided on our arrival, allowing us time to enjoy the fabulous gardens with Ana + Carl…
Lady luck was definitely on our side once again…the rain came just as we finished the big group photograph – couldn’t have timed it much better…
The Westminster Suite looked truly stunning for the wedding breakfast!
Time for our couple to join the reception!
From the wonderful wedding breakfast, it was over to Jane Dayus-Hunch, a friend of the bride and groom, to open proceedings…
After the short heartfelt speech from Carl, it was over to two friends of the Bride and Groom before the best man took the floor!
The time in the evening raced by, and before I knew it, it was time to get the formalities underway…
Alas, my coverage was soon drawing to a conclusion, so as the guests headed into the photobooth and the buffet, it was time to head out into the gardens with Ana + Carl for a few signature night portraits to conclude their coverage…
Ana + Carl, thank you for entrusting the documenting of your fabulous day to me – I truly had the most amazing time with you all, and cannot wait to bring your completed story together with you both!
It was fabulous to work alongside Andy and Stefan from Zeus Films once again for Ana + Carl’s day – I cannot wait to see the film they’ve produced!
