Katie and David have to be one of the cutest, most happy and smiling couples I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and I could not have been happier when they commissioned me to document their wedding at the Hundred House in Telford later this year.
A couple of weeks ago we had the chance to get together for an afternoon, to have a chat about their wedding and plans for the day, and of course capture few pre-wedding portraits both at the Hundred House and at Ironbridge Gorge just a few minutes down the road.
Although I’ve been past the Hundred House on several occasions, it was never a venue I had been to, and so exploring the setting and the great gardens, it allowed my mind to be even more creative when it came to the wedding day. And of course being able to tie Ironbridge Gorge into the shoot made the Sunday afternoon even more perfect.
The portrait session was so incredibly useful for building the comfort and trust between myself and Katie + David, and also allowing Katie to get used to being in close proximity to the camera…something that she wasn’t initially keen on, but come the wedding day, absolutely loved it!
