There was so much to love about Sandie and Paul’s wedding, starting from the sheer excitement at the house with Sandie and the girls, to the incredible love and relationships on display, to the fabulous choice of venue and superb individual styling, but most of all because of the couple themselves!
I had actually had the chance to spend a little time with Sandie + Paul a few weeks before the wedding at Birches Valley in Cannock, where we headed for an evening’s engagement session, complete with Paul’s guitar in-hand, and the more we spoke about their day, the more I knew it was going to be an absolute blast to be part of!
My day started at Sandie and Paul’s house in Dickens Heath where I was greeted by one supremely excited Sandie – not helped in part by the copious amounts of Red Bull flowing – surrounded by her lovely bridesmaids and family all getting ready. When the flowers arrived from Pinks Florist Becketts Farm I could see straight away how much emotion was going to be on display throughout the day – a true treat to be able to capture!
But it was when Sandie’s boys arrived with the super cute Max that the emotion almost flooded over…
Sandie and Paul would do absolutely anything for her boys, and from when we’d spoke around Cannock Chase and back at the studio, I knew just how important their relationship was, and seeing this in-front of the camera as Sandie ran down the road to greet her boys, the whole feel changed in a beautiful manner…
Upon heading to Hogarths Hotel I was greeted by continued beautiful weather, and a lot of fun and laughter in the bedrooms where the boys were getting ready – added to by the fabulous Best Man, and Bride’s brother, Paul, who was simply hilarious!
There were so many fabulous touches to the day, from the setting of the wedding on the beautiful island at Hogarths – the fact that they have so many friends and family it was literally standing room only on the island! – the stunning gowns from Lisa Rose Bridal and matching dapper suits from Moss Bros, and not to forget the fabulous Reggae Band on the evening…oh and fireworks too! What a day!
