After sharing the initial previews of Carol + Martin’s wedding from Gayton, just along from Sandon, Staffordshire, last week I’m delighted to bring the full featured preview of their wonderful summer wedding.
On what was a mostly beautiful summers day at the start of August, with only a light rain shower during the wedding breakfast, the wedding was truly stunning and a pleasure to be a part of documenting the day and creating the beautiful wedding story for Carol + Martin.
Arriving in style – a slightly different mode of transport to Carol’s choice!
Tying the flowers themed with the country feel was an inspired decision and looked perfect on the suits.
Arriving as only Carol could – on the back of her father John’s tractor! Perfect!
I love this look between father and daughter on the way to the church.
Although I’ve never worked at Gayton church previously it was a pleasure to be in such a beautiful country church.
One of the most important photos for Carol was the portraits in the wild flowers – complete with the stunning bridal wellies!
The marquee looked fantastic on the field on John’s farm just down the road from the church.
Stunning details and of course a beautiful cake from Amerton Cakes.
And the new sweet cart from the shop too!
Not even a slight shower could put a dampner on the day.
It was fantastic to be working with The Staffordshire Toastmaster – Wayne Shelton on Carol and Martin’s wedding.
He has this wonderful ‘trick’ of opening a chilled champagne bottle with a blade – certainly something to remember!
As always I had a great time photographing the speeches – and as you can see by the reactions they certainly went down well!
I remember when I did the site visit with Carol a few days before the wedding we discussed the option of having a ladder available for the big group shot – John however had different ideas and sent me up in the bucket of the Manitou!
Being on a working farm we had to use the barns for the wedding portraits – the tones were simply beautiful.
It was a pleasure to share your day Carol + Martin – I’m so glad you love the photos!
