Helen + Paul | Erasmus Darwin House

After sharing the previews last week I’m delighted to share this featured post of Helen + Paul’s wedding from Erasmus Darwin House in Lichfield City.
Despite being slightly cold (typical British summer!) the afternoon was fantastic and it was a pleasure to be along and document Helen + Paul’s big day.
Here are a few of my favourites from their stunning wedding.

Set in it’s own stunning gardens and surrounded by wonderful historical architecture, Erasmus Darwin House is a wonderful venue. One very excited groom awaiting his bride who arrived to wonderful live music from the amazing Fret & Fiddle – if you’ve not heard of them go and check them out! The emotion surrounding the ceremony was extremely touching, and I truly felt blessed to be stood at the front witnessing and documenting the ceremony.
The reactions and adulations from the friends and family of Helen + Paul on their exit from the ceremony into the drinks reception provided wonderful moments to document and capture.
After giving the wedding party time to celebrate and enjoy the wonderful catering, I took Helen + Paul out into the gardens and onto the streets of Lichfield – one of my absolute favourite places to photograph.
Lichfield Cathedral is such a majestic building and I love photographing weddings around it.The  herb gardens at Erasmus Darwin House which were established so long ago, surrounded by the historical buildings, provided a beautiful backdrop for relaxed, contemporary portraits.
