It’s not that often I get to work alongside my Father Les from Barry James Photography these days, but when Jen + Glenn came to talk to us back at The Moat House Showcase last year they loved the idea of having us both there. Bringing together both of our styles worked perfectly…almost like the old days!
Our coverage was split on the morning of the wedding with Barry James capturing the final preparations of the boys, whilst I was capturing the girls. With hair completed already by Chrissy at Urban Hair in Codsall, the bridal makeup was in the hands of Lydia from Phoenix Beauty…who just happens to be the best man’s partner!

The flowers had a personal significance for Jen + Glenn too as they had actually been grown in Jen’s parents garden in Brewood, and brought together by her aunt…and they looked stunning!
Safely following photos on google, it was time for a bit of creativity for the bridesmaids as they individually finished the tying of their dresses made by Helen Sew Chic. Loved how all of the dresses were completely unique as they finished them…definitely added a little personality to the gowns!
As the finishing touches were being applied to another of the bridesmaid dresses, the boys had better ideas…heading to The Rainbow for a couple of pints!
Last but certainly not least…the arrival of the new mom of the group, Rachael, who had the honour of Maid of Honour duties on the day!
As the finishing touches were coming together for the girls, with Jen over-the-moon with her makeup from Lydia, it seems the boys were enjoying themselves too…
I always love the emotion on display when it comes to ‘gift time’ on the wedding morning :)
Anne, Jen’s mom, really made me laugh during the day…she certainly loved the camera ;)
Jen’s dress from The Perfect Fit Boutique in Cannock was perfect for her, and complimented fabulous by Jen’s nan’s pearls, and the fab shoes and bag from Irregular Choice!
From the spinning reveal to the bridesmaids, it was time for Stephen’s reaction, who I think it’s safe to say was quite speechless!
A stunning and moving additional the natural hand-tied bouquet…a feather that fell in front of Jen’s aunt just as she was picking the flowers that morning…
Transport with style, TWO cream ‘splitties’ from CW Campervans!
Leaving the bridal party to board the vans, it was time to head to the church to catch up with Glenn and the boys, and my old man, Barry James too :)
Although banished to the back of the church for the whole of proceedings, having two angles from the floor and the balcony helped to capture the story of the wedding ceremony…
The moment that the vicar revealed Glenn’s mistake…of signing the register on the wrong line! Brilliant!
From the recessional and the receiving line, and the relaxed family groups (thankfully without the rain I feared arriving!) it was time to be bombarded with confetti before heading to Packington Moor!
I do love exploring the simple but stunning gardens at Packington Moor with couples…especially when the nice light comes to play!
The food and service from Galloping Gourmet are always top-drawer! Love working with those guys!
The Oat Barn dressed by Kerry and the team from Sorella Events looked fabulous for the wedding breakfast!
Introduced by the MC for the day Jon, Jen + Glenn made a fabulous entrance to their waiting guests!
Following the fabulous wedding breakfast, it was time for another highlight of the day…the speeches, opened by our Father of the Bride Stephen.
Following Kevin’s speech (the Father of the Groom), it was time to hand the floor, and the microphone, over to our man of the day, Glenn!
After a few brief words of thanks, it was time for our best man to gently and subtly abuse our groom as only a brother can…
“Shut Up!”
I always love taking a few minutes with my couple in the early evening to head out into the grounds in the perfect lull before the evening gets underway, and although the clouds decided to block the sun from playing, it was still gorgeous to enjoy the fields around Packington with Jen + Glenn.
With gorgeous mild summer weather blessing the evening, the guests were able to enjoy the fabulous courtyard during the evening ahead of the proceedings of the night got underway!

From the hilarity with the bridal party, it was time to get the evening underway, with the bride and groom opening the dance-floor after cutting their fabulous Carole Gregory Cake!
It was hilarious how the dance-floor literally cleared in second with one short announcement, “Ice cream van outside!’…
But what a van it was! If you’re looking for something different for your wedding or event, you’ve got to give Polly’s Parlour a look!
After a quick dress change into a stunning gown from Helen Sew Chic, it was great to catch the end of the sunset before the party well and truly got going!!
Jen’s work mates were fabulous to capture!!
Think it’s safe to say Glenn was enjoying himself :)

Who doesn’t love a bit of Bohemian Rhapsody towards the end of the night?
Before we knew it, the time had passed, and the night had come to an end…but what a night it was!
I had the most fabulous time capture the full wedding story of Jen + Glenn, and loved finishing the story with the signature Stuart James Packington Shot too!
Jen + Glenn, I have to say the biggest thank you to you guys, your friends and family for being so welcoming to us on your wedding day. I had the best time capturing your wedding story, and can only thank the characters of the day for really making me smile during the edit!!
I hope you’re having the most memorable time in Orlando. Cannot wait to see you both when you’re back and bring the finished story together for you!
