A wedding is the coming together of two – two people in love and two families joining as one.
When you have a couple as beautiful as Rhi + Aaran, who have the MOST amazing families, and add-in the most fabulous group of friends, you’re getting close to something special.
Choose to host them in the most idyllic of Shropshire Wedding Venue, and add incredible entertainment, and you have one extraordinary day indeed!
From the moment I was met Rhi + Aaran with Aaran’s parents, I knew we were going to be the perfect match. A couple intent on keeping things relaxed and having the best time married perfectly with my creative documentary wedding photography approach!
On the lead-up to the wedding, I got to spend an afternoon at Davenport House with Rhi + Aaran, with a relaxed engagement shoot resulting in the most stunning signing book for their guests on their wedding day.

Come the day of the wedding, we were ‘blessed’ with inclement weather, but with the incredible attention from the staff at Davenport ferrying everyone into the venue under an umbrella and planning everything entirely, it really wasn’t an issue at all. And lady-luck was on our side, providing us with the most spectacular late afternoon and evening for everyone to relax and enjoy the setting.
My coverage of Aaran and Rhi’s day began with final preparations of both the Bride and Groom’s parties.

I could tell from the moment I arrived that this wedding was bursting with love. Every photo I took of the Bride, Groom and their families getting ready for the big day was full of emotion end excitement. From Rhi receiving her flowers from Mark at Hites Florist and looking magnificent in her dress with beautifully applied makeup completed by the wonderful Neelym from MeMe Make-Up to Aaran adjusting his bow tie and buttoning his cufflinks.

Arriving at Davenport House was breathtaking, what a truly stunning venue to photograph at, not even the damp weather could take anything away from the beauty of this building.
With guests arriving looking fabulous in their modern and traditional outfits. Rhi was upstairs with her bridal party waiting for one of the most important moments of the day…the moment her Father saw her in her wedding dress.
Always a favoured moment for me to photograph, the emotions speak for themselves, and I get to be there to capture it all.

Rhianne glowed as she walked down the aisle with her Father towards her Husband to be. The room was filled with such a fantastic atmosphere, helped by a beautiful speech by the Aaran’s niece.

The reception room dressed to perfection with clean white linens, adorned with centrepieces full of pink roses, ‘Friends’ themed table names and personalised place name plaques.
The dishes were cooked and presented perfectly by Galloping Gourmet, making them a delight to photograph.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when the speeches came around, whether it be from laughing or crying! It was a pleasure capturing such a beautiful family with beautiful stories to create brilliant photographs full of expression.

The weather let up enough for me to steal a few moments with the newly married couple, to create these stunning outside portraits in the most idyllic surroundings.
Soon after the photos, the celebrations continued well into the evening, including the cutting of the cake from Sugar Bliss, the Bride and Groom’s first dance and traditional celebrations with live music.

As the guests continued to party the night away inside the Davenport House with music provided by Devine Sounds. We made the most of the romantic lighting created by the glorious sunset and got some more stunning portrait shots.
