Chaddesley Corbett Summer Wedding
Rachel + Andy first came to me to talk about their wedding early last year after browsing through the list of Master Photographers Association photographers, and as soon as we sat down and started talking about their wedding plans, from the different options with the setting for the wedding, and the positives and negatives associated with, we worked together bringing their ideas and plans to life…and I’m so glad that Rachel + Andy opted for the setting of Rachel’s parents house for their reception, keeping everything really close together to their home in Chaddesley Corbet, and with the wonderful relaxed setting – and stunning grounds to work in – the day could not have been more perfect.
In a change from the norm, my day started with the groom and the boys, complete with grabbing breakfast with them at the wonderful tea rooms (that are underneath Rachel + Andy’s flat!) before heading to the girls.
With wonderful September weather on our side, from the relaxed start to the day, through the ceremony at St Cassian’s Church to the marquee reception at home, it really was an immense pleasure to be along to capture the day.
Rachel + Andy’s friends and family were so warm and accommodating and so much fun to be with, it really helped make the day a pleasure to capture.
Here is a look at their wonderful wedding.
Such a simple list for the day – 1, Get Married. 2, Wine + Dine. 3, Boogie!
After enjoying breakfast with the boys it was off to Rachel’s parent’s house just a few minutes up the road…
Sorry ladies, but this little sequence really made me laugh:
Back at Rachel’s parents the marquee looked absolutely resplendent with all the individual touches the couple with their friends and family had put to the place over the lead up to the big day.
With all the handmade touches from Rachel, her whole wedding planning had brought everything together perfectly…even the weather!
Being set with such beautiful gardens and woodland surrounding Rachel’s parents house, we were certainly not limited or spoilt for choice with the photographs of the couple on the afternoon…
…including Rachel’s childhood swing which had been lovingly restored, with no small amount of work from Andrew himself!
Before the speeches we ventured back into the garden to make the most of the warm evening light…
Before we all sat back and were entertained by the speeches and the stories that flowed.
Speeches have always been one of my favourite times of a wedding to capture, with so many photographic opportunities, and with the meaningful stories, and comedy thrown in for good measure, the speeches at Rachel + Andy’s wedding did not disappoint.
Thank you for inviting me to share your day Rachel + Andy – it really was a true pleasure.
