When a bride who has been a wedding planner for years come in and books you for her wedding, you know you’re doing something right!! :)
Naomi + Martyn’s wedding at the fabulous Brandon Hall Coventry was such a treat from start to end. I’d had the chance to spend a little time with Naomi and Martyn at another gorgeous venue, Wroxall Abbey where Naomi used to work!, for their pre-wedding shoot, and I just knew the day with them was going to be something really special!
It was the first time I had had the chance to photograph a wedding at Brandon Hall Hotel, and it really is a stunning setting. The choice that Naomi and Martyn had made to have an intimate set of guests for the ceremony, before a huge party on the night, really helped set the tone for a wonderfully relaxed day…and one mammoth party!
My coverage for Naomi + Martyn’s day started a few minutes away from Brandon Hall with the bridal preparations, whilst my brother Stephen was with documenting the morning preparations of the boys back at the hotel…
From the makeup and hair, it was upstairs to reveal the fabulous wedding dress! Naomi looked absolutely stunning!
Timed to perfection, it was the perfect moment to be heading to Brandon Hall as soon as Naomi came down the stairs, with the waiting car from Love Wedding Cars looking perfect!
Whilst I’d been having fun photographing Naomi and the girls, my brother Steve was on second photographer duties capturing the morning story for the boys at Brandon Hall.
With Martyn being so close to him best men, this shot by Steve really is one of my favourites from the morning…
Boys will be boys… ;-)
It has to be said, the boys looked very dapper indeed in their suits from Mark Andrews Hire!
Time for a final check…
The Brandon Suite was the perfect size for the intimate ceremony for Naomi + Martyn…
I think it’s safe to say Martyn’s dad Martin was a rather ‘confident’ soul…
As our groom was just about holding his emotions in check, it was soon time for the arrival of our stunning Bride!
Standing at the front with Martyn, it was clear to see the emotions building…and it really did turn out to be a remarkably emotional afternoon…
It was so great having Steve with me on the day to capture a different aspect of the day, his coverage really brought something extra to the story of the couples day.
From the ceremony, the couple took a small drive before returning to their waiting guests for the reception to start…

Ahead of the wedding breakfast, we stole a few minutes with the bride and groom, heading in to the woodland forest on the edge of the grounds, which was quite simply breathtaking for photographs…
With Naomi’s years of experience with weddings, I always knew the styling of the day was truly going to be onpoint, and the setting for the wedding breakfast with all of the individual touches was quite stunning.
From the entrance to the waiting guests for the wedding breakfast, it was down to our bride Naomi to open proceeding with what turned out to be the first of the very emotional speeches…
The Father of the Bride’s speech after the wedding breakfast was truly touching…
Unfortunately there was a slight pause in proceedings…with the laptop deciding on a fabulous time to do a Windows update… The video was worth waiting for though and brought the perfect conclusion to the proceedings!
Next up, the man of the day, Martyn…
Before finally, the turn of two very very emotional best men! Seriously, the most emotion I’ve seen shown by men at a wedding ever from Martyn and the boys!! Fabulous to capture!!
From the intimate daytime, a migration to the main Woodlands Suite was needed for what was a truly epic night!
He’s back at it again…
And again!!
It was fabulous the complete change of pace for the evening, really making it a tale of two parts…
It was soon time to get proceedings underway with the obligatory cake cutting before the first dance could get the party started!
And get started it surely did!!!
Naomi & Martyn added to their night by hiring our Fun Photo Booth which went down a storm!
The solid open frame design worked so well with such a packed room!
A truly fabulous night, hosted perfectly by MidlandsProDJ, it really was a shame my coverage finished after 12 hours…
Thank you Naomi and Martyn for inviting us in to capture your story, it truly was a wedding I will never forget!
And thank you also to Steve for your photography which really added to the coverage of the day!
