Documentary Wedding Photographs capturing the summer wedding story of Zoe + Rob at All Saints Church + The Moat House
I first met Zoe + Rob back in January last year, and after we spent a little time together in the rain back in February for their pre-wedding shoot, I couldn’t wait for their wedding!
It’s quite strange how with all of the weddings we get to photograph, how rarely we’re at our home and local churches. Zoe + Rob came to us from a recommendation from The Moat House, but their wedding was only a couple of minutes down the road at All Saints Church in Bloxwich…definitely a bonus with a 0930 start :)
My day started capturing the preparations of the girls in the fabulous hands of a good friend, Kelly Louise who is a make-up artist I met through the Princes Trust. Her work is fabulous and so natural – so I know she would be the perfect makeup artist for Zoe.
Zoe + Rob only live round the corner from Zoe’s parents, which allowed me to spend a little time between both of them in the morning ahead of the ceremony at All Saints, which definitely added to the story. It was also fabulous to be given enough scope to capture the story at the church properly without restrictions from the vicar – I do love someone who is understanding!!
But for now, back to the morning…
The efforts the ladies have to go through…whilst the boys’ are playing video games!
The flowers from Lavender Florist were just stunning!
Leaving the girls to the finishing touches of preparations, it was fabulous to be able to head down to Rob to capture a few moments as the groom’s party brought everything together for the wedding!
Definitely a good match on the trews! Fabulous accompanying jackets from Duncan James menswear too!
From the innocence and excitement of youth, to a moment of reflection and anticipation on the face of our groom…
Leaving the grooms party to head to the church, I took myself back to Zoe’s parents, just intime for the grand reveal of our beautiful bride in the perfect gown from Puure Bride in Lymm.
With the church of All Saints being just a short drive away, I was soon capturing the fabulous mood and excitement as the guests arrived to our waiting groomsmen at All Saints Bloxwich.
With the church filling with guests, the bridal party made a fabulous arrival in a limousine and characterful Beauford from His and Hers Wedding Cars.
Always a favourite moment to document, with the bridal party procession down the aisle bringing the bride to her waiting groom…
From the ceremony and the confetti bombardment, it was over to a fabulous, and very popular venue for us, The Moat House in Acton Trussell!
I always love working in the grounds of The Moat House – how can you not really? With the light and weather on your side, it really is a special venue!!
From our time around the grounds, it was back to relaxing for the bride and groom enjoying time with their guests during the drinks reception ahead of the wedding breakfast in the Acton Suite.
The Acton Suite looked just fabulous decorated by the team at Design Elegance!
The cake from Amerton Cakes was just stunning! I love their creativity! And as you can see, the guests certainly approved too!
Sometimes you just have to get a bet on……
With the guests ready and waiting, it was time for the fabulous entrance of our Bride and Groom before getting processings underway with the speeches!
From the very entertaining Father of the Bride, it was time for Rob to take to the floor…and I think I’m pretty safe when I say he’s comfortable with public speaking ;)
It was then time for the speech everyone had been waiting for, as Rob handed the baton over to his old boarding school buddy, Harry.
It has to be said, despite the nerves leading up to the speech, Harry you did Rob and Zoe proud – you certainly earned a drink ;)
With a warm summers evening blessing us, it was great to head off into the local fields with Zoe + Rob, and add a little countryside to their wedding photographs…
With the evening guests assembled and enjoying the drinks, it was time to get the evening underway, with the cutting of the fabulous cake and the first dance!
With my twelve hour story of Zoe + Rob’s day drawing to a close, it was only right to head in to the gardens of the Moat House once again, for a few signature evening portraits…
And that as they say, is a wrap!
And what a day it was!
Zoe + Rob, you are two wonderful people, and it really was a huge pleasure to be invited in to your lives to document your most special day with your friends and family. I’m so happy the day flowed perfectly for you both, with the summer weather well and truly onside!
I love how your story has come together, and I cannot wait to complete your storybook album – I think it’s going to be pretty special!
Congratulations once again! I loved capturing your story!
