I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Alex + Tom when I captured Alex’s mom’s wedding a couple of years ago, and what a fantastic family they are!
When Alex + Tom brought the plans together for their wedding, I was delighted to be invited back into their family to capture their day.
Aston Marina is the most idyllic Staffordshire wedding venue, full of style and character and provides a perfect backdrop for a wedding story!
Even the ‘delightful’ September weather couldn’t dampen any spirits for Alex + Tom’s wedding – and we still managed the time outside to capture some truly stunning photos of the couple looking amazing.

My coverage of Alex + Tom’s wedding began with the bridal preparations at the venue, before meeting Tom and the guests at the church.

The morning ran smoothly, helped by the ever professional Louise Price looking after hair styling and the beautiful Holly Baker, who had the make up all in hand.
Alex looked stunning in her princess style dress from Lucy Alexander Bridal, along with the rest of the bridal party. They all looked utterly prepared for the big day ahead!
Just before the Father of the Bride saw Alex in her wedding dress, he ensured that he sent over some words of encouragement on her special day. Moments like this are so amazing and lovely to capture….one of the many perks.

The church of Holy Trinity in Eccleshall, Staffordshire is stunning – and fortunately on this day, has a great lichgate that was the perfect shelter from the rain while I was capturing the arrivals!

Not even the rain could dampen spirits on Alex & Tom’s Wedding Day. From the Ushers waiting excitedly at Holy Trinity’s entrance to Tom waiting anxiously inside in his suit from Kevin Paul. The day was full of emotion and happiness. Seeing the waterworks started as Alex walked down the aisle was indeed a magical moment.

From the church, it was to the stunning setting of Aston Marina for the reception – and boy did it look good!
With the attention to detail in the flowers and decor, along with how incredible the settings naturally is, we were set for one astonishing reception.

With the rain still affecting play, it was a lot of fun to utilise the stunning setting of Aston Marina for a few bride and groom portraits!
The stunning light fixture made a genuinely fabulous background.
In true English style, the weather changed…but to our advantage and long enough for us to capture these gorgeous portraits. Aston Marina’s grounds are a spectacular setting to capture any love story.

Inside the venue had been decorated fantastically, the tables were adorned with Roses and Gypsophila, expertly created by Blooms which complemented Karen Morris’s Venue Decor perfectly.
All together it created a fantastic setting for capturing one of my, if not my favourite, moments at a wedding…the speeches.

As the evening bore upon us, we were blessed with stunning evening light – and no rain! What a crazy day!
Spending time with the beautiful couple in the grounds was genuinely fabulous – an allowed me to create these stunning portraits.

As the evening guests arrived, the excitement on everyone’s faces was brilliant to capture – the magic of the wedding was as gorgeous as ever!
