To start the spring wedding season – finally breaking out of the grasps of the winter and the snowy conditions we’ve all been experiencing – I was in Erdington at The Abbey Church of SS Thomas and Edmund for Caroline + John‘s wedding ceremony, ahead of heading to The Wyatt Pavilion at The Old School House, Weeford.
Caroline and John are such a fantastic couple and I knew from the moment that Caz first emailed and we met in the summer of 2011 to talk through their wedding plans, that I was going to be a perfect fit for their day.
Although only with the couple and their guests for a short period, documenting their story from church arrivals through to the hilarious speeches before leaving everyone to enjoy the rest of the wedding.
Caz got a wee bit emotional when she saw her Bridesmaids waiting for her outside the church door.
I love this shot!
The Abbey Church of SS Thomas and Edmund in Erdington really is a stunning church to photograph.
Finally the daffodils were out!
The Wyatt Pavilion looked splendid decked out for the wedding breakfast.
After being piped into the marquee, it was on to the first of the speeches.
Followed by the man of the day…who accidentally called his Bride by the wrong surname!!
Before it was then time for the first of the three best men, each with their own story to embarrass the groom!
And maybe strike a little fear into Caz too!
It was a pleasure to document your Erdington and Lichfield wedding Caz and John – thank you for inviting me to be part of your day.
