Wow, wow, wow! What a wedding!!
Bring together two beautiful people, surround them with lovely families and friends, place everyone in one of the Midlands best wedding venues, and finish it all off with all the style and glamour you could wish for…and you have the recipe for a truly wonderful wedding!
From the first time I sat down with Jess to talk to her about her wedding to Matt I just knew it was going to be one of the most fabulous weddings to be part of. As a young couple who are making their world quite fabulous for them and their family unit – their son Jenson is one of the cutest kids I have ever photographed! – their wedding was a clear display of emotion, a day of celebration, and one truly spectacular party as the night got going!!
Choosing unlimited coverage for their day really changed the feel of the coverage for me – no glancing at the wrist apart from when I left the house in the morning, and staying through to the end of the night, provided a truly wonderful story to photograph.
Jess + Matt chose to hold their winter wedding at Moor Hall, one of the regions most prestigious wedding venues set in the parks of Sutton Coldfield.
Blessed with beautiful weather their day could not have gone better from start to end.
My coverage of Jess + Matt’s day started with the girls preparations at 0930 in the capable hands of Natalie from The Bridal Hair Specialists and Danielle Guiden looking after makeup, and flowed through the day as Matt and the boys arrived in style at Moor Hall.
There were so many wonderful touches to the day that made everything all the more special, from the stunning dress from a company I have been working with with nearly 15 years, Mix’n’Match Bridalwear of Rugeley, the sharp suits from Slaters, the beautiful bouquets and flowers from Joanne’s, and not to forget the help in organising the day from the wonderful staff at Moor Hall and the Toastmaster Steve.
The day for me really was perfect from start to end…the unlimited coverage was so incredibly worth it for Jess + Matt’s story…

The arrival of the flowers…things started to feel that little bit more “real”…and definitely the start of excitement!!

One of my favourite things about documentary wedding photography is freezing time so you can look back and relive a moment.
Here is a perfect look at this, as the emotions run very high as Jess’ dad came in to the room to see his beautiful daughter before the wedding…

How can you not love the setting of Moor Hall with the beautiful sunken gardens. So glad the weather was kind to us on the day so we could make the most of this fabulous setting!
The touches to the room and the attention to detail from one of their best friends ensured everything fell perfectly together…
The emotions during the speeches were wonderful to witness and capture…
Ben was definitely ‘kind’ to Matt during his speech…but it wasn’t without the odd cringe moment!

Before the evening guests arrived and the party got underway, it was fabulous to be able to head back into the gardens for evening portraits…
I really do LOVE the addition of the sign to the dancefloor!
It certainly didn’t take long for the party to really get started, here with Shane (Matt’s relative) and Adam from ReLive It Productions letting their hair down and enjoying the night after capturing a fabulous video of the wedding!

I’ve got to give a massive ‘thank you’ to the DJ for Jess and Matt’s wedding – the floor was packed all night long! Such a fabulous party to be in the middle of!

Jess and Matt, thank you so much for entrusting the documenting of your special day to me and for inviting me in to be part of everything with you.
It was certainly the first time I’ve had tears from a bride as I’ve given a hug goodbye at the end of the evening!
You are two very special people, and your wedding showed the true love, affection and devotion between you and your wonderful families.
