After sharing the first previews here a few days ago I’m delighted to bring a featured look into Bec + Tom’s gorgeous winter wedding at The Moat House, Acton Trussell.
Starting off the year at The Moat House has become somewhat of a tradition, which being our most popular wedding venue for the past ten years should come of little surprise. Bec + Tom’s day was a true pleasure to be part of from documenting the girls getting ready in the morning to the delightful tones of Matt Edmundson through to the snowy portraits by the lake on the night, concluding with fabulous 90’s dancing – it’s fair to say I had a great time!
Here’s their story
The ‘soon to be relaunched with it’s new decor’ Acton Suite looked splendid with the chair covers from Design Elegance and the beautiful flowers from Lavender Florist.
It’s brilliant having a friend who is also a hair stylist!
The Bridal gown from Silk Bridal in Lichfield looked stunning.
The detailing on the dress was simply gorgeous – note to all Brides with ‘button-up backs’ – remember to pack a crochet hook!
I love how Bec had kept the gown a complete secret from everyone except her mom – the expressions on her Bridesmaids faces as they saw her for the first time was priceless!
I think it’s safe to say Tom was very happy when he saw his beautiful bride arrive along the red carpet into the Acton Suite on the arm of her very proud Brother.
The colours of the afternoon winter sun were stunning. Who’d have thought we’d have a heavy snow storm the same day?
The combination of documentary photography capturing the story and the relaxed portraits come together perfectly in a timeless record to be handed through generations.
Bec + Tom chose a very personal arrangement to their wedding breakfast room – a table just for them, with their friends and family all on their own tables. Genius idea!
The speeches were a highlight as always, and become very emotional during the Mother of the Bride’s speech.
The story here as the Best Man got Bec + Tom to stand up and look into each other’s eyes was brilliant:
“As you look into each others eyes know this, the eyes looking back at you belong to the person most likely to kill you, statistically speaking.” Needless to say the reaction was priceless!
Stunning night time portraits by the snow covered lake and playing with the snow in the image below to create a stunning photograph.
Thank you for inviting me to share your day Bec + Tom, it truly was a pleasure.
